Privacy Policy
What ColorForge collects, why, and the choices you have — including for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
Last updated:
Overview
ColorForge ("we", "us") is a color-tools platform: palette generators, converters, contrast checkers, and related utilities. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — a hex code you type, an image you drop into the extractor, or a palette you build never leaves your device or reaches our servers. This policy explains the data that does exist: what our hosting infrastructure logs by default, and what our advertising partner, Google AdSense, and our analytics provider, Google Analytics, may collect if you consent to it.
Data controller
Aire Solutions, Office# 23, Lane# 1, Garden Vista Colony, Dollian, Wah Cantt, Punjab, Pakistan, is the data controller for this site. Contact us at airesols@gmail.com for any privacy question, including exercising the rights described below.
Information we collect directly
We do not operate accounts, sign-ups, or forms that store your personal data on our servers. The only information we hold is:
- Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure and reverse proxy record standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These are operational logs, not a profile of you, and are retained only as long as needed for that purpose.
- Contact email. If you email us, we hold that correspondence to respond to you and don't use it for any other purpose.
Information stored only in your browser
Tool preferences — your light/dark theme choice, recent color searches, and recently used colors in the color picker — are saved with your browser's localStorage, not as cookies, and never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes them. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
If our AdSense account is active and you consent to advertising cookies via the consent banner, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing activity across sites. Google acts as an independent data controller for this processing. Details:
- What Google collects and how it's used: How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
- Google's own privacy practices: Google Privacy Policy.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising entirely, across every site that uses Google ads, at Google Ads Settings, or via industry opt-outs at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
See our Advertising Disclosure for more on how ads are placed on this site, and Cookie Preferences to change your consent at any time.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
If you consent to analytics cookies via the consent banner, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage of the site — which tools and pages are visited, in aggregate, not tied back to you individually for our purposes. Google acts as an independent data controller for the underlying processing, on the same terms linked above (Google's Privacy Policy, and how it uses information from sites using its services). Analytics cookies are blocked by default until you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time on Cookie Preferences with no effect on your ability to use the site.
Legal basis and your rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis for non-essential storage (advertising and analytics cookies) is your consent, which you give or withhold through the consent banner and can withdraw at any time on Cookie Preferences with no effect on your ability to use the site. Essential storage (theme preference, remembering your consent choice) relies on our legitimate interest in operating the site.
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of that data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability, where technically applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email airesols@gmail.com.
California and other US state privacy rights
We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA or similar state laws. If AdSense personalized advertising is considered a "sale" or "share" under your state's law, you can opt out at any time via Cookie Preferences or the Google opt-out links above.
Children's privacy
ColorForge is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes materially. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
